At this time, Jews were taken to Auschwitz every Wednesday. When the last of the Jews were taken to camps, Vladek arranged with employer Miloch to hide himself, Anja, and the remainder of his relatives. After the Nazis left everyone left the bunker. They disguised themselves as Poles so that they could blend in with the Polish workers on the train out.
