jan 22, 1912 - Modernizing the Periodic Table
Description:
English Physicist Henry Moseley exposed the known elements to x-rays. He was able to determine the relationship between the x-ray frequency and the number of protons, leading to Moseley rearragning the periodic table not by atomic mass, but by atomic number. Eliminating some of the inconsistencies associated with Mendeleev's table.
