oct 5, 1789 - Women's March on Versailles
Description:
A large group of women gathered in a marketplace and started marching towards the King's palace in Versailles, demanding bread for their families. Along the way, they rounded up other Parisians, some who were unhappy with their current situation, and others who simply wanted the King and Queen to pay with their blood for their inaction and incompetence. This resulted in the Royal Family being exiled from Vesailles.
