What: It is basically a pen that one can use to write on a screen without damaging or scratching the screen.
Advancements: Companies like Microsoft and Apple have made them even more advanced. They can be used with drawing or photo editing software to make really realistically drawn things maybe a little easier than on a pen and paper. Factors like pen pressure have pen taken into account to make it as close to and as easy as drawing on paper.
Improvements: If enough people switch to using only a computer or tablet stylus then paper (trees) will be saved. It has more features than an ordinary ballpoint pen. It can be used to create multiple colors, and it can provide different textures such as that from a pen or a spray paint
