Description:
In 410 C.E western Rome collapsed after the Visigoths, led by Alaric, breached the Roman walls and sacked the capital Rome. The Visigoths looted and then burned down the city. Visigoths, originally from Germany and took advantage of the weak western Rome. This was the first time that the capital wouldn’t be in the hands of the Romans, but not the last. This led to the rise of Constantine and Christianity.
