Wi-Fi is finally available for use in homes, cafes, and other public areas. Invented by the commitee 802.11, the first machine called the 802.11b was made for sale. Along with that, Apple began to add Wi-Fi connectivity features to its new products to help popularize the use of Wi-Fi.
