mar 5, 1770 - Boston Massacre
Description:
The conflicts began with a street brawl between American colonists and British soldiers and then became a violent slaughter. The main reason for the conflict was American colonists’ protesting for high taxes. When Private Hugh White was guarding king’s money stored in Custom House, colonists threatened him with violence. As colonists use clubs and sticks to strike soldiers, British soldiers fired their guns and this conflict ended with five killing (colonists) and wounding six. This conflict encouraged people’s anti-Britain ideas and triggered people to start the American Revolution.
