jan 4, 1642 - The Five Members
Description:
Charles I arrests radical members of Long Parliament out of suspicion that they were urging the Scots to invade England during the Bishop's Wars and that they were starting rebellions against him.
The means of the King doing so led parliament to believe he had a lack of respect for their customs and practice, leading to irreversible damage to his reputation
As a result, parliament now opposes the King and will go on to limit monarch's powers even further.
