Description:

A series of three avalanches hit the Badakshan Province of northeastern Afghanistan and caused lots of deaths and property destruction, burying villages in their paths with massive sheets of ice, snow, and debris. The most affected village in the disaster was so remote that the rescue forces were unable to reach it for two day, there were no accessible roads connecting the village to the rest of the country. The avalanche killed about 201 people
