Brazil winning a bloodless revolution, 8,000 Brazilians signed a petition for Dom Pedro to rule Brazil as an independent country. It all started when the Portuguese royal family fled to Brazil because of the napoleons armies attacking. When they left King John decided to make it a colony again.
