nov 21, 2012 - Bridging Visas to Live on Nauru or Manus Island
Description:
If found to be refugees, they would remain on bridging visas and would not receive a permanent visa until they have “waited” for the same length of time that they would have waited if they had applied for resettlement overseas. They may also be transferred to Nauru or Manus Island at any time. This meant that they would be released into the community on bridging visas but would not have the right to work.
