The Baby Alive dolls were able to eat, drink, and came with diapers because they had to be changed regularly. Children loved this toy because it allowed them to pretend to be responsible parents. Baby Alive dolls were on the market in the year 1973, and after seeing the television ads, every little girls dreamed of getting a Baby Alive Doll. It was one of the most popular toys sold during Christmastime in 1974.
This doll was designed to appeal to little girls between the ages 4-9.
