Description:
In 1814 Gran Columbia wanted independence from Spain. Their reasons were because taxes were raised and they disliked Spain. Simon Bolivar was the leader who led the rebel army. As a result of the revolution, Bolivar became a dictator, the coffee industry was successful, classes were dissolved, the church still had an impact, and the tobacco industry declined.
