Description:

The Hudson Bay Company was founded/chartered on the 2nd of May, 1670. He formed to be a fur trading company to compete with the French. The Company would compete with French for dominance of Rupert's Land until the Treaty of Utrecht is signed forcing France to accept the Hudson Bay Companies claim to the Hudson Bay, and much of Rupert's Land. The Hudson Bay Company still remains today as a department store found in Canada, and various other countries.
