mar 31, 1774 - Intolerable Acts

Description:

As expected the colonist rebellion, specifically in the Massachusetts colony sparked anger on the British side. In order to make an example of the colony the king enacted a series of harsh punishments. These punishments included shutting down the Boston harbor, British troops housing in private homes, and the loss of the ability to self-govern. The shutting down of the Boston Harbor was the most detrimental to the colony as it was their main source of income.
