jun 13, 1789 - The Meeting of the French National Assembly

Description:

On June 13, 1789, the Third Estate demanded that the three estates meet to discuss a change in the government and, to make it fair, each delegate would get a vote. On June 20, however, the delegates of the Third Estate found themselves locked out of the courtroom and instead broke into a tennis court, pledging not to leave until a new constitution was drawn up.
