A Furry is a robot-like toy that looks like an owl- or small rodent. All Furbies start off speaking "Furbish" which is a made-up language with short syllables. The Furby has a vocabulary of about 200 words and can even speak with another Furby when their eyes sync. In 1998, the Furby was on the market, and soon became a popular toy. During the winter holiday season, almost every young girl had Furby on their Christmas Wishlist.
The furry robot was mainly targeted towards young girls between the ages of 7-12, but there were many adults who were interested in the technology of the product that started buying the Furby.
