Description:
On December 17, 2010, Mohammed Bouazizi lit himself on fire after he was humiliated by a police women that confiscated his vegetable cart and all of the vegetables because they were unlicensed. This had happened before to Bouazizi but he would pay a fine and the police officer would usually be satisfied, but this woman was not, and slapped and ridiculed him, go so far as to insult his dead father. He went to the headquarters where the police would be and wanted to file a complaint about the police women, but they refused to see him. He then set himself on fire, though he did not die until January 4, 2011.
