Even though Avatar has been out for 9 years, it is still one of the highest-grossing films. Avatar was the first film to gross over $2 billion. Avatar was also nominated for nine Academy Awards which included, best picture and best director, it also won three which were: Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects. The film was that successful that they are bringing out Avatar 2 and 3 in 2020 and 2021.
