apr 19, 1775 - Battles of Lexington and Concord

Description:

Fought at Lexington and Concord Massachusetts
This kicked off the revolution. British troops marched on Concord to secure weapons and gunpowder cache held by the colonists. The (as we recently learned was fake) ride of Paul Revere to warn the people of Lexington to mobilize helped the colonists stop the redcoats on the town green at Lexington. This battle contained the shot heard round the world. The British lost about 73 men.
