Massacre
Description:
Boston Massacre (March, 5th, 1770) - The Boston Massacre was a riot that turned deadly after British troops shot and killed 5 people. It began with a British sentry being harassed and soon a mob formed. Eight additional soldiers came to support him, were then subjected to verbal threats and hit by clubs, stones and snowballs. Without orders, they fired into the crowd, instantly killing 3 and injuring 2 others which eventually also died. This contributed to American anger against Great Britain and fueled the oncoming American Revolution.
