may 23, 2008 - Nikon D90 Camera
Description:
The Nikon D90 was the first DSLR with video capabilities. It recorded at 1280x720 (720p) at 24 frames per second.
This was important, as DSLR cameras were previously only for images and photos. Allowing video recording gave the general prosumer market (this market is for consumers who wanted higher end equipment) an option for video filming on their camera. This expands what a camera is expected to do.
