Description:

The next person to tax the colonies was Charles Townshend. He convinced the Parliament to tax colonists on glass,tea, paper, lead, and paint. This lead to many, MANY outbursts on this unfair tax, and colonists revolted the same way as they did against the stamp act- boycotted british goods, Attacked tax collectors, and smuggled Dutch tea. Eventually, Townshend acts were repealed, but not the tea tax. Everything was fairly calm. Or so people thought…
