Elon drops out of Stanford after two days of being there. Zip2 was founded by Elon and Kimbal Musk and Greg Kouri. Zip2 Corporation was an online city guide. Elon's father, Errol Musk, provided them with US$28,000 to help get started. Zip2 would later be sold for $307 million.
