Led by Ahmed Al-Muktadir Ibn Hud with the assistance from 'Abbad (Al-Mu'tadhed) troop. Only 50 of the Muslim army fell martyrs compared to the Christian army who lost large number. Once the Muslim regain the city, they purified the city from idolatry, and cleansed from the stains of infidelity and polytheism
