Description:

Passed on June 22, 1774 by parliament, for the expansion of Quebec boundaries and to grant religious freedom to Catholic Canadians. It was also used to punish Massachusetts colonists for the Boston Tea Party of throwing thousands of pounds of tea into the ocean.
