jan 1, 1932 - James Chadwick DIscovers Neutron
Description:
When Herbert Becker and Walter Bothe directed alpha particles at beryllium in 1930, a radiation was created. The main thinking was that the radiation could be a high energy electromagnetic radiation. James Chadwick disproved that in 1932, and proved that the radiation was made of neutral particles with the same mass a proton. Its existence is now proven and it is called a neutron.
