7th after the short program, Elvis threw in his long program a quadruple jump, making him the only one in the competition to do so. This allowed for him to finish with an overall placement of fourth place just off the podium behind the American Rudy Galindo who took the bronze. His quadruple toe loop- triple toe loop was the first ever landed in a major competition.
