oct 10, 1946 - First Indochina War
Description:
Following the unconditional surrender of Japan in 1945, Ho Chi Minh, revolutionary Communist leader, seized National power over Vietnam. This would be short lived however, as Chinese and British troops would hand over power to the French, for the restoration of their rightful 'colonial' powers. It would be until 1954, that this war would be waged, between the Viet Minh and the French.
