Description:
In 1886, a group of boers who had bought land from the Swazi people declared independence. They requested the annexation of the South African Republic [Transvaal] in 1888, though this went against the Peteora convention of 1881.With permission from the British following the first Swaziland Convention in 1890, Transvaal was given permission to annex the Little Free State.
