You can think of him as the lonely warrior. (like D.D.N. in D.W; He doesn't think that he is good enough, He has worked so hard for nothing. Lost so much for nothing in return. So many deaths laid in Eloy's wake, the blood on his hands thick with blood. He is a broken man. But he didn't see that he let the children go. He didn't think much of the hand full of people he saved. It would never be enough to make up for what he has done. But he was a warrior. His father and mother both were strong warriors of the Reen Games. His sister didn't want to be in the Games. (The arena, similar to the colosseums games.)
It was then when he signed up for what was normally just for sport, turned into the sign up sheet for the members for the next war. The games are there for the purpose of the people, and they know that when going in. But this war happened so fast, that Eloy was on the first cart of the game men out of the town. There were even the few women challengers. (Morgan originally joined the games for the sports money earnings, she has a little boy back home. She likes picking on the younger boys back in the ring because she's beefer than most of them.)
