Description:

The Almarovid ruler was Yusuf ibn Tashufin from North Africa to help the Muslim Moors in Iberian Peninsula. The Almoravids came to re-establish Islamic order and fight against the Christians. To add, it was begun when the Taifa king in Seville asked help from the Almoravids against Christians, who was led by Alfonso VI. Yusuf ibn Tashfin came and fought them for the independence of Muslim Spain. He promised that after he defeated the Christians, he went back to the North Africa. However, he was insisted from Muslim Scholars included Imam al-Ghazali to remove the independence states and simply replaced the realm of the Almoravids. Yusuf and his descendent had disapproved the Muslim co-religionist to the Christians and also opposed the payment of tributes to the non-Muslims that prohibited in Islamic law. The Christians and Jews also will be not enjoyed the positions of authority by the Almoravids. To conclude, although the Almoravids did not regain any land during the Taifa period, they had kept struggling to fight the Christians and slowly the advance of Christian’s armies. Finally in 400 years, the Christians armies succeed to defeat the Muslims of al-Andalus.
