Description:
Maghreb which consisted of what are now Morocco, Libya, Tunisia and Algeria had been re-conquered by Byzantine empire under Belisarius. Previously, it was invaded or held by many tribes such as Carthaginians, Romans and Vandals. Despite being invaded by many entities, those power never culturally managed to fully influence any of the locals (Berbers).
