dec 10, 2010 - Arab Spring
Description:
The Arab Spring began due to oppressive regimes and a low standard of living beginning at Tunisia. Due to the Tunisian Revolution, more countries began to join and major uprisings and social violence occurred. Countries such as Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, and Bahrain joined and had civil wars and riots. A slogan was built in all the Arab world, “the people want to bring down the regime.” This resulted into the Syrian Civil War, Iraqi insurgency, Libyan Civil War, and the Yemen Crisis. The Arab Spring led to at least 523,492 people dying.
