British physicist, born in 1881 in the U.K., died in 1974 in the U.K. He is credited with discovery the neutron of an atom in 1932. He prepared the way of the creation of the atomic bomb. He experimented with atoms until he found an unknown radiation, which he interpreted as a neutral charge; the neutron.
