apr 15, 1936 - Anabta-Tulkarm Shooting

Description:

The Anabta-Tulkarm shooting was the start of the revolt. It happened when Arabs created a roadblock and stopped 20 vehicles demanding cash and weapons. The Arabs then open fired, killing two truck drivers. The Arabs told the victims that they were gathering money and munitions to carry on the work of the 'Holy Martyrs' whom had the goal of killing "...all Jews and all Britons in Palestine." There were actually three victims of the shooting with one making it out alive after he shouted, "I am a Christian German!" After shouting this, he was told to "Go ahead for Hitler's sake."
