sep 16, 1827 - John Russwurm becomes sole editor

Description:

Unfortunately, Russwurm became the sole editor, in September of 1827 after Cornish left because of their differences in opinion of the colonization of Africa. Russwurm then helped promote the American Colonization Society. This society was mainly white dominated and it pushed for emigration of all Africans, including freed Africans, to move to Liberia in Africa to setup a colony.
