This was important because it was the first pamphlet to advocate American Independence. Also, give ideas and common sense. But most of all, this gives America the push it needs in between of the Battle of Lexington and Concord, to the American Revolution. So, basically, this pamphlet brought Colonial America closer to independence and gave America that push it needed.
