Description:
The 19th Amendment prohibited states to deny voting rights based on the gender of a person. During the Reconstruction Era, women’s suffrage groups became very popular to give more women more rights. After trying, and sometimes failure, but it was finally decided that the 19th Amendment would be added. The 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18, 1920.
