When I used to play volleyball at a nearby gym, my teammates and I managed to win one of the big tournaments held after every season. I am very short, so I played the position of the setter. While other positions need tall legs or strong arms to do well, the setter doesn't need those things. Instead, you need to have light and quick hand movements when you contact the ball. Being small actually helped me, it gave me more time to prepare before I had set the volleyball up into the air. I still keep all the medals I have won from my time playing volleyball, even the participation ones, but the first place medal definitley is my favorite.
