jan 23, 2006 - This was another mass coral bleaching event. This year was a lot more special because it actually wasn't an El Nino year but there were still heaps of corals bleached. This made the scientist realise that us humans are polluting the ocean way too much and combined with global warming, coral bleaching isn't going to stop anytime soon. - 2006 (John Veron, 2013)
