Kenya. the worlds 6th largest producer of Avocados banned exporting Avocados because of the higher rate of exporting versus producing. The average price for one bag of Avocados in Kenya has raised up to 2,560 shillings ($20 US), the highest it's ever been over the past four years. This is significant because to Vegans it's an important belief that they don't want to harm the environment and while it may not be affecting the environment here in the US it is affecting the environment and daily life in foreign countries.
