This is at the end of the French revolution. Maximilian francois Marie isidore DE robespierre was a lawyer, a politician, and one of the most famous and influential figures of the French revolution. He opposed the death penalty, but he played the most important role in the execution of Louis xvi. Robespierre was a great figure in the French revolution, but the French did not like him, so they ordered his arrest. He was arrested along with his brothers, st-just, Francois Hanriot and Le Bas. They were guillotined the next day.
