The Earth Simulator was made by the Japanese and was the fastest supercomputer ever made from the years 2002-2004. It was built to track and model the global climate, helping scientist with future weather predictions, global warming, and more. This massive computer cost around $600 million dollars. To protect it, defenses against earthquakes were built.
