From 2006-2010, China has proclaimed the one-child policy, limiting couples for only have one child and was established by the government of the Republic of China, Deng Xiaoping in 1979, will continue. If you were to have a second child, you would be punished with fines and pressures to abort the pregnancy. This law is applied to people living in urban areas, living in rural areas citizens are not subject to the law. Although this law has helped the population increasing at a slower pace, it has caused a lack of respect to female infants; known to occur female infanticide, differing the ratio 114 males for every 100 females, when normally differing the ratio 105 males for every 100 females.
