jan 1, 1803 - Dalton
Description:
Dalton built upon Democritus’s theory, he proposed that all matter was composed of atoms, indivisible and indestructible building blocks. He went even further as to say all atoms of a single element are the same while atoms from two different elements vary in terms of size and mass. This was a major contribution to the atomic theory because it expanded upon Democritus’s theory which can be called the first block of the atomic theory.
