sep 5, 1774 - First Continental Congress

Description:

The Congress had two primary accomplishments. The first was a deal among the colonies to boycott British goods beginning on December 1774. Committees were formed in every colony to make sure the boycott was being followed. The boycott was followed by everyone but New York. If the Intolerable Acts was not repealed, the Colonies would stop exports to Britain after September 1775.
The second accomplishment of the Congress was to provide the basis for a Second Continental Congress.
