jun 1, 2015 - Gene Edited Soybean
Description:
The United States produces about 250 billion pounds of soybeans every year of which 90 percent are genetically modified. There is a new way to change the beans now called gene editing. Instead of adding a gene, they just modify the existing charactaristics to make the bean grow faster. This does not fall under the regulations of GMOs because it does not involve adding a foreign gene.
