aug 31, 1774 - The Intolerable Acts

Description:

King George pressed congress to pass this law because he wanted more authority over the revolting colonists. One law shut down the Boston Harbor and the city was placed under Martial Law. The Quartering Act was also part of this and it gave British commanders the power to house their soldiers in colonial homes.
