After this trip, they settled down and started going to church. My mother was raised with strong religious influence, and strongly encouraged us to start practicing. She also encouraged us to participate in community events like block parties, visiting family,and celebrating all birthdays with big parties. She was so proud of us all. Most importantly, my mother held the family as the highest aspiration she could accomplish. This is probably why she never continued her dreams as a nurse or medical doctor. My brothers and I were raised very well, because of my mother.

This is a milestone because she influenced her children and this is what made them who they are today leaving her marking on her family.
